About Rogue Acts Theater

Rogue Acts Theater is a community arts initiative in Geneva, Illinois, dedicated to creating bold, transformative theater experiences that go beyond the stage toward a better world.

This isn’t theater that stays in its seat. We believe storytelling is a radical act, one that has the power to challenge, connect, and catalyze change. Through plays, workshops, and boundary-pushing creative collaborations, we bring communities together to act—on stage, in the streets, and in their own stories.

Whether we’re staging powerful productions, hosting interactive workshops, or devising new works that amplify unheard voices, Rogue Acts is about more than performance. It’s about sparking conversation, inspiring action, and making space for people to step into their power—together.

Co-founded by Christine Retzer and Rachael Kay Albers, Rogue Acts Theater is a call to all those who believe in the power of theater to disrupt, to heal, and to build something new.
