About The Revolutionists:
Playwright Olympe De Gouges, assassin Charlotte Corday, former queen (and fan of ribbons) Marie Antoinette, and Haitian rebel Marianne Angelle hang out, murder Marat, lose their heads and try to beat back the extremist insanity in the Paris of 1793. What was a hopeful revolution for the people is now sinking into hyper violent hypocritical male rhetoric. However will modern audiences relate.
This grand and dream-tweaked comedy is about violence and legacy, art and activism, feminism and terrorism, compatriots and chosen sisters, and how we actually go about changing the world.
It’s a true story.
Or total fiction.
Or a play about a play.
Or a raucous resurrection. . .
that ends in a song and a scaffold.

A powerful and important play for both women's history month and this exact moment in time.
"Hell yes this is political. The play is about a moment in history where the rich and poor were lightyears apart in lifestyle, the country was in multiple wars, the debt was huge, the workers overtaxed, trust in the government was nil, the leaders were corrupt and greedy, racism, sexism, poverty, violence, extremism…
The only difference between them and us is the year and the continent."
- Lauren Gunderson

Food drive March 14-16 for Mutual Ground
As an extension of our Stage the Change workshop, where we collected donations for Mutual Ground, we are collecting food and personal care items at the theater March 14-16 during our production of The Revolutionists.
Mutual Ground's mission is to create a safe environment where individuals impacted by domestic violence, sexual violence, and substance use are able to reclaim their power. Mutual Ground supports the healing of our community through education, awareness, and life changing services as a commitment to equity for all.
What to donate:
- Non-perishable foods help Mutual Ground provide meals to individuals and families in their shelter as they work to rebuild their lives (hint: we heard they always need kid-friendly snacks!)
- Personal care, hygiene items, and baby essentials help Mutual Ground support clients with basic essentials. They accept full-sized un-opened hygiene items.
